Koenigsegg Automotive expands into Southern Africa

 

Johannesburg, South Africa – Monday, 08 March 2021 – Koenigsegg Automotive AB is pleased to announce the appointment of Daytona (Pty) Ltd as official dealership and Koenigsegg representative in South Africa.  

 

Koenigsegg began operations in August 1994 when a 22-year-old Christian von Koenigsegg decided to pursue his childhood dream to create the perfect supercar. There is existential purpose to his pursuit of building the ultimate car with no compromises and no limits that succeeds against the odds. The first customer car – a CC8S – was delivered in 2003. Koenigsegg has produced 19 models and various special editions since its inception – CC Prototype, CC8S, CCR, CCGT, CCX, CCX Edition, CCXR, CCXR Edition, CCXR Trevita, CCXR Special Edition, Agera, Agera S, Agera R, One:1, Agera RS,  Regera, Jesko, the Jesko Absolut and the Gemera.

Recent years have seen the company grow from an admired pioneering carmaker to a renowned industry icon. Koenigsegg is synonymous with innovation and known for its commitment to the ultimate in vehicle performance with a visionary carmaker, unafraid to challenge conventional thinking, making Daytona the perfect fit for the brand.

 

Bringing the number of dealers around the world to just 40, Daytona’s showroom situated in the premium Johannesburg shopping precinct of Melrose Arch, offering world-class facilities and well as a 4000sqm state-of-the-art workshop, with coffee bar, client lounges and private meetings rooms, offering clients more than just a car showroom. It is a way of life, which is why Koenigsegg has selected this prime dealership as its new home in South Africa.
