BMW plans to grow sub-Saharan African vehicle sales

BMW SA will have ready-made export markets for its forthcoming, home-made X3 sports utility vehicle (SUV) if it can develop a “structured” approach to selling vehicles in sub-Saharan Africa, CEO Tim Abbott said on Tuesday.

He was speaking after BMW Germany announced that, with immediate effect, the South African unit would take responsibility for distribution and marketing activities across the sub-Saharan region.

ASTON MARTIN, RED BULL REVEAL RADICAL NEW HYPERCAR

Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing have revealed the first official images of their new hypercar, codenamed AM-RB 001.

The British automaker says the new vehicle has been “engineered to be entirely useable and enjoyable as a road car, but with the capability to perform like no road car before it on a race track”.

And, for those who crave an even more intensely focused driving experience, rest assured that a track-only AM-RB 001 is also in development, the projected performance of which is “in line with that of today’s LMP1 Le Mans sports prototypes”.

Yes there are only 100 of these and were sold in a flash but one example has popped up onAutotrader in the UK for double the initial price. Yes this GT12 with 803 km on the clock is listed for sale at $667,150 but it will be the buyers call if they want to part with such huge cash.
